As I mentioned in our previous entry, we saw the actual droids for R2D2 and C3P0 at the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C. After all of that, (i.e. me making my kids get their picture by the droids and recognizing that as a father I may have failed them since they don't know who they are) Benjamin and Lily have begun to redeem my hope. Yesterday at the Library with Kathleen, Benjamin and Lily selected the original box set trilogy as their DVD check out of the week.
Since then, they have been pestering to sit down and watch it. So things are moving along, possibly by next week they will have had their first dose of indoctrination in "how to properly use the force". We are still working on knowing the characters though, apparently Benjamin just saw Chewbacca walk into the seen and informed Kathleen that Squishy just showed up. He just needs to get his characters right. Chewbacca is big furry and shoots lasers. Squishy is soft, stings, and floats in the ocean. We will get there.

A sign of true indoctrination is when he makes the chewbacca sound. Wait for it... it is worth the wait! LOL
We must have watched Star War 100 times in the Tessem home. Good times.
