Hike #1

Gracie has developed these cute little cheesy faces lately, and decided to share one with us as we were hiking along to see a pretty waterfall. I love how she crinkles her nose and gives a big grin. Oh yeah, she's cute.
At the end of a whole lot of strategically placed stairs down the side of a mountain, we reached the base of the waterfall. The trees and views were quite beautiful. There were a few signs telling anyone going by to stay off the rocks, that deaths had occurred there before, really, people had lost there lives on this very hike and still . . .
The boys, (Josh Anderson, Jeff, and Richard Turley) decided to hike up the slippery, slimy, steep face of the falls, and check out the wading pool a little ways up. Looked like fun to me, I'm just glad that no one got hurt there.
Gracie just had to get down and explore. I think she saw the glittering fools gold that was everywhere and wanted to investigate. It was pretty impressive that later on, the kids' feet were still covered in glitter.
