The day after Christmas, we decided to bundle up NC style, and take a drive to the Zoo. This gave us a chance to try out the van on a longer distance, and let the kids play with fun bingo cards from John and Kara (love ya!), as well as giving Jeff the chance to see the impressive acreage and animals. Some of the exhibits were closed for a couple months, but there was still a lot to see including: elephants (Grace's favorite), Baboons (they loved to try to get Lily's hair through the glass) exotic birds (very close and bright, but full of humidity so most of the pictures didn't turn out quite right) and the kids' favorite, riding the tram! Anyway, we had a good time as a family, and only had a few moments of discord.
