Fourth of July Party

For the 4th of July, we had some families from the ward over for a BBQ and some games. We had a lot of fun. The Black's, Cox's and Turley's all came for dinner, and then afterwards as we were playing games the Paxton's and the Welling's came by. We had grilled chicken and hot dogs, potato salad, pesto salad, grilled zucchini (Turley's), 7-layer bean dip (Cox's), chips and salsa, humus (Black's), watermelon, and homemade ice cream. Then we finished it off by playing a couple rounds of water balloon volleyball as well as badminton. It was fun to see the kids try to launch the water balloons, and Kathleen was accused of majoring in badminton in college (mad skills love, mad skills).

We had planned to go to see some of the fireworks, but Heavenly Father had other plans as he sent in lots of rain and lightening. It was a great day, and we thank everyone for coming over and celebrating the 4th of July with us.
