Yours

Once upon a time during my sophomore year of college, there was a tall, young, blond guy who lived adjacent to my apartment in college.  I'd seen him around, even noticed he had a birthday and thought I'd wish him joy on his day, and got no response . . . (insert consternation, bafflement, "oh no he didn't" you get the idea). . . time passes . . . said boy assigns himself to be my home teacher, becomes a really good friend, play basketball, ultimate frisbee, go to dances, get invited to "see the lights at temple square" with he and his roommate (who happened to be his home teaching companion) . . . go snowboarding with his roommate and mine and somehow he and I are the only ones in our car . . . and it breaks down on the way up to the mountain . . . and his board is not long enough for his height (insert manly-bearing-of-pain-and-being-soaked-to-the-skin). . . I was oblivious because, well, I had my really tall cousin's board and found the balance just right. . . got a ride off the mountain with someone else and inadvertently fell asleep on his shoulder on the way back home (I seriously don't remember this AT ALL) . . . have our first real date after knowing each other about six months . . . spend lots of time together . . . get engaged 10 months after meeting, at a ward camp-out where we were the activity co-chairs and one of us might have made an incorrect map that frustrated people trying to find our campsite, so we went on a walk and there was a ctr ring, and duck tape, and cows being chased out of the camp-site. . . months later we married for time and all eternity . . .the following year we welcomed our son into our family . . .  moved to eight hours east for grad school for six years (only 5.5 of which were spent on said degree, a very important clarification). . . had two lovely little girls . . . moved thousands of miles further east to further his career. . . endless adventures and moments shared together making us, US. . . flew back to the land of our undergrad years, and fulfilled one of my adventure desires: hiking Mount Timpanogas. . . saw breath-taking views . . . had to stop to catch our breath, quite literally, we're a bit more sea level these days than mountain level . . . enjoyed the adventure, and sharing the time with my true best friend. . . Love you Jeffery! Thanks for letting me trick you into proposing a bit over 11 years ago so we could begin OUR adventure together . . .
