Random happenings around town. . .

Grace and I have spent a lot of time lately outside, at the park, or museum just taking in the sights, and playing with friends.

This girl sure loves to swing!

We went to the ward Pig Pickin' Pool Party again, of course, and had fun meeting new members of the ward, and spending time together with friends and family.

Just some evidence that our children can work together at a common goal, and do a great job when they really put their minds to it ;) Pretty cute actually!

I don't know how many of you know this, but we really enjoy watermellon in our family. The other day, after picking green beans in their garden, Brother Rudy sent us home with one of his watermellons. We let it cool for a few days, and then when we cut into it, we couldn't stop! Thanks Brother Rudy!














This is what happens when you plant lots of different plants in close proximity. It's a cantaloup from our garden, and actually tasted really good, despite it's appearance. Good excuse to try again, right?







































We went to the opening football game for Duke again this year, and even got the free cooler for employees (Yeah!!!) The kids enjoyed riding the shuttle, and tossing the balls. We met up with some friends and Grace had a lot of great high pitched screams for anyone near by. While Duke did not win, we did get to see a 56 yard pass completion for a touchdown that was pretty impressive! Let's go De-Vils! Take a hit! ;)

We went to the last music-on-the-lawn event for the year, and enjoyed the fun music and atmosphere, and of course some loco-pop popcycles.

It's getting to be the time of year when summer is done, kids are back in school, but there's an undercurrent of excitement: fall is creaping ever closer! Nights are deliciously cool, leaves are beginning to change, and I just get all excited inside sometimes just thinking about it, Autumn breezes, cocoa, jackets, even maye a light sweater, crunching leaves . . .
