Garden cooking adventures . . .

Here are a few things that have come from ingredients found in our garden:  Chicken noodle soup(sadly from a can, busy activity night) with added fresh peas (from the garden) and carrots (from the store), stir-fry (peas from before mentioned garden), potatoes and peas (not quite a soup, the potatoes are cooked whole and there isn't as much liquid as a soup, but oh-so-tasty-reminds-me-of-my-house-growing-up, oh and peas from the garden), rosemary foccacia bread (herbs from the garden), Borscht (beats and dill from the garden, an excellent motivator for any girls in the household who might be picky eaters, we also call it princess soup), and rustic bread with habaneros, oregano, and thyme (all from the garden, although the peppers were frozen from last year, and honestly, it wasn't too extraordinarily hot either!)  Can't wait to see what other creations can will be inspired by what's growing out back!

Man, you guys are such good cooks! And that's funny/brilliant about the "princess soup"!

let it be known that the mushrooms were not from the garden. That is just crazy.

Wow--I'm so impressed! I think we missed out on the peas this year, but I'm hoping for lots of beans!

Well, the bread wasn't hot until you actually bit into one of the peppers! Then it felt as if the whole entire cavity of your mouth was on fire!!!
