WRISG meeting in Aspen Colorado

The participants at the WRISG in Aspen September, 2006
Beautiful Peaks Here in the Aspen area
Lovely aspens, September is a great time to visit.
Me in the trees, notice the peaks behind the trees
Me in front of the Marroon Bells
A cool bridge over the Marroon Bells river.

These are pictures from my trip to Aspen, Colorado for the Western Regional Islet Study Group. I had a great meeting, and was able to present my research to the group there. It is a very interesting town, everyone seems very "well off". These pictures are from a hike up to the Marron Bells area. Very pretty, and you can see why the name of the place was called Aspen....so many beautiful yellow leafed Aspens. It really makes you wish that Great-Great Grandfather Samuel Bowles would have kept his ranch in this area.
